Beaded Curtain Rings Let's talk curtain rings. The first thing to keep in mind is that your curtain ring should have a 1/2" larger inside diameter than your curtain rod. For example, if your curtain rod is 1" then your curtain ring should be 1 1/2" inside diameter. This is recommended for functioning draperies but it is also ok to go larger. You might have seen this look in recent magazines. If your drapes are stationary then a 1/4" difference is fine. As for the number of curtain rings you will need, typically it is 7 rings per panel.
